Welcome to the German Club Paarl
Join us in celebrating German culture and heritage through exciting events and a vibrant community.
Our Rich Heritage
Founded in 1926, the German Club Paarl (Deutscher Klub Paarl) began as a gymnastics association, serving the local German community. After a pause during World War II, it was revived in 1953 by Pastor Winckler as the German Society (Deutscher Verein), hosting cultural events in the local church hall.
In the early 1990s, the club established its clubhouse in Klein-Parys, becoming a hub for the preservation of German heritage. Today, it continues to celebrate tradition with events like Schlachtfest and Oktoberfest, bringing people together through culture, food, and community.
