Held at the end of November, this family-friendly event features crafts, festive foods, Christmas treats, and traditional holiday cheer. It’s a wonderful way to experience the magic of a European-style Christmas in South Africa.
Schlachtfest

A long-standing tradition at the German Club Paarl, Schlachtfest is a festive gathering with live music, dancing, and a taste of German culture in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Guests can enjoy authentic German fare, including freshly prepared meats, baked goods, and a German deli.

How to Attend:
- Most events are open to the public, with tickets being sold at the entrance on the day of the event.
- Walk-ins are welcome for most events unless stated otherwise.
- Food and drinks are typically available for purchase, with German favourites served!

From bakery favourites and fresh breads to iconic German sweets, chocolates, and pantry items, the deli is a must-visit for anyone who loves traditional German flavours.
